Empowerment First
Empowerment First is made up of passionately dedicated people who work for local service providers helping those still suffering from homelessness. In fact, two of the board members and the executive director are formerly homeless and bring with them a wealth of real-life experiences and professional knowledge of the homeless population.
Empowerment First organizes and facilitates peer support groups for people experiencing homelessness and mental illness. These groups are specifically designed to build self sufficiency among homeless people and develop their skills for leadership and self-advocacy.
